As you can see, he wasn't scheduled to arrive till 11:00am. We even had to buy our tickets in advance. The event ended up being a sell out. So, we decided to get in line early. We arrived at the store 2 hours in advance and still ended up about 100 people deep in line. From what we could tell, there were probably 300 or so tickets sold. We actually ran into a few people we've met throughout the years of Laker autograph hunting. So, the wait wasn't all bad. The camping chairs we brought made it even more tolerable.
Once inside the store, we find out that there are absolutely no cameras allowed. They wouldn't even let us take pictures of Derek from a distance or even while he's signing our items. In my opinion, capturing your moment meeting an athlete with a photo is half the fun. I think this rule was a little too much. Luckily, the son of a fellow KB24.com member snapped a spy shot with his camera phone. So, this is what it looked like at the table.

I got a Sunday White Jersey signed. He actually made it look really nice. For the money we spent to meet him, I'm glad he did.
Matt got a basketball signed. It came out really nice as well. Derek signed it really large on one of the ball's panels.
Well, till next time kids... peace out!!!
P.S. Hey Odom, sign a freakin contract with the Lakers already!!! That's a lot of coin they're offering for a sixth man spot.
