On the way home, we found a Penguin's Frozen Yogurt. We haven't seen one since the 80's - early 90's. We had one in Cerritos when we were kids.
Remember not to bring bad attitudes into Penguins.
I went with the fat free cake batter with reese's peanut butter cups. To be honest, the yogurt didn't taste anything like cake batter. It tasted like amaretto. Due to the nostalgic value it provided us that day, we'll give them a pass.
After Jan got off work, her sister called and offered to take us out to dinner for Jan's birthday. We had a meatless (you know us Catholics and Lent) Italian Dinner at a little restaurant in the RSM.
Our niece spent all of dinner telling us how much she wants to play the drums on RockBand. So, we spent the rest of the night in concert.
The next day, we got wind of Ron Artest making an appearance in the Footlocker at Fox Hills Mall. We only had to wait 30 minutes or so to meet Ron-Ron (he actually showed up on time).
Then we had a snack in the Arts District in Downtown LA.
We had a couple of exotic sausages and fries.
Go to The Unfoodie for details.
That evening we stopped by Grandma's house in Cerritos. The family surprised Jan with some mango cake (one of her favorites).
For some reason, Mikey and Tito Lito had on the same Pacquiao shirt. The only problem is that the Pacman doesn't fight for two more weeks.
Seeing Jan almost ready to give birth put a smile on Grandma's face. She's in such good health that we expect Avery to get to know his Great Grandmother quite well.
Till next time kids... Peace Out!!!
